Grants Coordinator

About the role

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) is hiring a Grants Coordinator in Ramallah to manage its multi-donor grant portfolio. The role covers proposal development, reporting, donor compliance and grants administration, and reports to the Deputy Director for Programs. It works closely with the MEAL Coordinator, Partnerships Coordinator, the finance department and program sector leads.

Key responsibilities

• Identify funding opportunities, support program design and lead Go/No Go meetings for proposals
• Oversee concept notes and proposals, review them thoroughly and act as focal point with HQ during review and submission
• Manage donor agreements, pre-award spending and project revisions, and coordinate Project Cycle Meetings
• Maintain a grants tracker, OTIS and a well-organised filing system, and run grants management trainings
• Ensure grants comply with IRC and donor regulations, and share compliance guidance with teams
• Oversee internal and external reporting, coordinate HQ and technical reviews, and meet donor deadlines
• Lead the grants unit, manage performance, recruit and onboard staff, and carry out other duties assigned by the supervisor

Required profile

• Five to six years of experience in humanitarian grants management in a multi-donor, multi-sector environment
• Experience coordinating across departments and leading large multi-sector funding proposals
• Previous experience in a conflict-affected or protracted crisis setting preferred
• Exceptional English writing and editing skills, able to draft donor documents with minimal oversight
• Strong planning, prioritisation and interpersonal skills

Required skills

• Advanced donor report drafting and compilation
• In-depth knowledge of institutional donor compliance
• Knowledge of ECHO, SIDA, GFFO, BMZ and Gulf donor requirements is an advantage
