Programme Analyst – Youth (UNFPA) – Gaza

About the role

The Youth Programme Analyst will lead the design, planning, management and implementation of the adolescent and youth component of UNFPA’s country programme in the Gaza Strip. Based in Gaza, the analyst reports to the Head of Office and works closely with implementing partners, the SRHR/GBV team and the adolescent‑and‑youth portfolio lead.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and oversee technical support to UNFPA partners for youth‑focused interventions.
• Ensure compliance with UNFPA procedures, monitor programme results and report on progress.
• Coordinate the ‘adaptation to demographic change / data analysis and foresight’ stream in collaboration with CO staff.
• Integrate SRHR and gender‑based violence considerations into youth initiatives.
• Maintain collaborative relationships with programme, project and operations teams.

Required profile

• Relevant university degree in social sciences, public health, development studies or a related field.
• Experience in programme design, implementation and monitoring for adolescent or youth projects.
• Knowledge of sexual and reproductive health, gender‑based violence and demographic trends.
• Ability to work in a complex humanitarian context and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
