Senior Network Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Senior Network Engineer with a strong focus on Cisco security to join our IT Infrastructure team. The ideal candidate will have 4‑6 years of hands‑on experience maintaining network operations, configuring firewalls, and securing enterprise IT environments.

Key responsibilities

• Configure, install and manage Cisco routers, switches and firewalls, ensuring optimal performance and security.
• Implement network security protocols such as VPNs, ACLs and NAT rules, and enforce security policies.
• Troubleshoot and resolve Tier‑2/3 network incidents, conduct root‑cause analysis and support incident response.
• Perform routine network maintenance, firmware upgrades and security patch management on Cisco and related hardware.
• Monitor network performance, track security alerts, run vulnerability audits and generate reports.
• Maintain up‑to‑date network diagrams, configuration backups and security documentation.

Required profile

• 4‑6 years of experience with WAN protocols (BGP, EIGRP, OSPF) and LAN/WLAN technologies (DNS, IP addressing, QoS, Spanning Tree, Multicast).
• Hands‑on experience with multi‑vendor NG‑firewalls (Cisco ASA/FTD, Palo Alto, Fortigate) and Cisco Catalyst, ISR and ASR platforms.
• Familiarity with proactive monitoring tools (Solarwinds, PRTG) and NMS/Syslog alerting in a large enterprise environment (1000+ devices).

• Cisco IOS, Cisco ASA, Palo Alto and Fortigate firewalls.
• WAN routing protocols: BGP, EIGRP, OSPF.
• LAN/WLAN technologies: DNS, IP addressing, QoS, Spanning Tree, Multicast.
• Network monitoring and management tools: Solarwinds, PRTG, NMS, Syslog.
• SDN/SD‑WAN concepts and implementation.
