Staff Accountant – Project Accounting Specialist

About the role

This position offers the chance to work in a fully paperless environment, applying advanced technological tools to support global construction projects. As a Project Accounting Specialist, you will partner with the construction accounting team and management to ensure financial success across the portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and manage Project Cost Trackers (PCTs) through Yardi Job Cost implementation.
• Reconcile PCTs to the general ledger on a monthly basis with local finance teams.
• Chair monthly project cost review meetings and prepare consolidated cost summaries.
• Process invoices and ensure timely supplier payments while meeting internal controls.
• Provide SOX and policy compliance guidance to stakeholders.
• Assist in preparing project funding reports, cash‑flow forecasts, and loan draw submissions.
• Support month‑end activities such as reconciliations, journal entries, and accrual calculations.
• Collaborate with the Director of Construction Accounting on Yardi configuration, integration, and process optimization for emerging markets.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of general accounting principles.
• Ability to analyze and interpret accounting data and perform quantitative analyses.
• Experience with adjusting journal entries, reclassification journals, and account reconciliations.
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail‑oriented, organized, and capable of solving problems independently and in a team.
• Experience with Yardi or construction cost accounting is a plus.
