Project Analyst – Civil Society

About the role

The Project Analyst – Civil Society will support the UNDP/UNV Sawasya III Joint Programme, which promotes rule of law, justice and human rights in Palestine. Working from Ramallah, the analyst will assist in strengthening government institutions and civil‑society partners, contributing to the Programme of Assistance to the Palestinian People.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in implementing interventions that enhance capacities of rule‑of‑law institutions and public confidence.
• Support the design and monitoring of activities that improve access to justice, security and protection services, especially for women and girls.
• Coordinate with national and international partners to ensure alignment with the Palestinian Programmatic Framework and UNSDCF priorities.
• Contribute to policy development and system‑level reforms in democratic governance, inclusive economic opportunities, and sustainable natural resources management.
• Prepare analytical reports, data collection and documentation for programme evaluation.

Required profile

• Relevant university degree (e.g., political science, international development, law, public administration).
• Experience working on rule‑of‑law, governance or civil‑society programmes in the Palestinian context or similar settings.
• Ability to work with diverse stakeholders, including government agencies, NGOs and UN partners.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is an asset.
