MEAL Coordinator

About the role

The MEAL Coordinator will provide national leadership and management oversight to ensure that the occupied Palestinian territory (oPt) country program meets its Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) commitments. Based in Ramallah, the role supports both West Bank and Gaza operations and works closely with partners to integrate MEAL principles throughout the project cycle.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for data systems, from design to visualization, ensuring robust monitoring, evaluation, accountability and data management across IRC and partner projects.
• Develop and operationalize logical frameworks, MEAL plans, data collection tools, client feedback mechanisms, quality checks, audits and real‑time dashboards.
• Lead the design and conduct of surveys and assessments, including baseline, post‑distribution monitoring and end‑line evaluations.
• Oversee third‑party monitoring efforts and ensure partners have sufficient MEAL budget and staffing.
• Champion a data‑driven culture, presenting findings to project and strategic management teams and contributing to proposal design and theory of change.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience providing technical oversight of MEAL functions in humanitarian or development contexts.
• Proven ability to mentor and build capacity of IRC and partner staff in MEAL concepts, evidence‑based program design and continuous improvement.
• Strong leadership skills to manage a multi‑sector, multi‑geographical MEAL team, set performance objectives and foster an inclusive work environment.
