Poultry Processing Supervisor – Fresh

About the role

The Poultry Processing Supervisor – Fresh is responsible for leading a production line in a food manufacturing environment. The role ensures compliance with HACCP, SSOP, GMP, USDA and OSHA regulations while driving productivity, meeting customer specifications and maintaining a safe, sanitary workplace.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the production line by establishing and adjusting procedures to meet schedules, improve efficiency and achieve budget goals.
• Deploy and rotate up to 100 employees to optimize workflow, ergonomics and on‑time delivery.
• Complete daily departmental reports, attendance records, yields and other required documentation.
• Identify and communicate opportunities for process optimization, waste reduction and quality improvement.
• Lead or support implementation of process improvements and monitor related metrics.
• Partner with Quality Assurance to ensure food‑safe conditions and USDA compliance.
• Mentor, coach and cross‑train staff, providing feedback and managing performance plans.
• Enforce safety initiatives, PPE usage and promote a zero‑accident culture.
• Collaborate with other shifts and departments to meet overall plant objectives.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred.
• Minimum 1 year experience in a manufacturing setting; 3 years in food manufacturing or poultry industry preferred.
• At least 1 year of supervisory experience, with knowledge of timekeeping, policy adherence and conflict resolution.
• Working knowledge of poultry processing, food safety regulations, OSHA guidelines, GMP and HACCP.
• Effective verbal and written communication in English.
