Payroll Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a Payroll Specialist to own a critical business function that impacts every employee. You will work with leaders who value accountability, continuous improvement, and integrity, ensuring payroll is processed accurately and on time.

Key responsibilities

• Process weekly payroll, audit timecards, commissions, bonuses, incentives, and deductions.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
• Manage employee payroll records, new hires, terminations, wage changes, and adjustments.
• Handle garnishments, direct deposits, and tax‑related payroll functions.
• Reconcile payroll‑related accounts, support month‑end and year‑end accounting, and prepare labor and payroll reports for leadership.
• Enter payroll journal entries and assist with financial audits.
• Utilize Sage Intacct for payroll and accounting data, and build reports using Google Sheets and Google Workspace.
• Leverage ServiceTitan reporting to validate commissions, labor costs, and employee compensation.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and automate repetitive tasks.
• Serve as a trusted resource for payroll questions and resolve discrepancies promptly while maintaining confidentiality.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 + years of payroll processing experience.
• Strong understanding of payroll laws and compliance requirements.
• Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to manage confidential information with discretion.
