Project Accountant – Accounts Payable Associate

About the role

This position offers the chance to develop advanced technological skills in a fully paper‑less environment while supporting the financial success of global construction projects. As a Project Accountant – Accounts Payable Associate you will work closely with the Design & Construction team and apply accounting principles to manage project costs and vendor payments.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the Design & Construction group using the Yardi Job Cost module to ensure project financial performance.
• Proactively address cost and operational matters with project managers, asset managers and other internal stakeholders.
• Support leadership with recurring and ad‑hoc cost analyses.
• Input, code, audit and analyze all vendor invoices and process them in a timely manner.
• Manage accounts‑payable aging, ensuring vendors are paid according to agreed terms.
• Respond to AP inquiries, audit queries and escalations.
• Label and store invoices per company policy and resolve invoicing discrepancies.
• Maintain compliance with SOX narratives and internal controls.

Required profile

• Experience in real‑estate construction or job‑cost accounting (preferred).
• Strong knowledge of construction cost accounting and general accounting principles.
• Ability to analyze and interpret accounting data with high attention to detail and urgency.
• Understanding of confidentiality requirements.
• Prior experience in a multinational corporation and fast‑paced environment.
• Effective written and oral communication skills.
