Warehouse Inventory and Logistics Support

About the role

The United Nations Department of Safety and Security (UNDSS) seeks a short‑term National UN Volunteer to lead a comprehensive physical inventory of assets stored in its Ramallah warehouse and Jerusalem office. Working under the Administrative Officer, the volunteer will verify, document and categorize assets to improve inventory management and support audit readiness.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct a physical verification of all UNDSS assets in Ramallah, Jerusalem and staff‑assigned equipment.
• Record detailed asset information (description, asset number, serial number, quantity, condition, location) in the approved Excel register.
• Take clear photographs of each asset or asset group.
• Compare physical findings with existing records, identify discrepancies and report them.
• Classify assets as suitable for transfer, recommended for disposal, or requiring further assessment.
• Assist with coordination of asset transfers and disposal processes.
• Maintain up‑to‑date documentation to support audit and operational planning.

Required profile

• Short‑term National UN Volunteer based in Jerusalem.
• Willingness and ability to travel regularly to the Ramallah warehouse.
• Ability to work under supervision of the Administrative Officer and collaborate with Administrative Associates.

Required skills

• Microsoft Excel for data entry and inventory tracking.
