Field Property Inspector – West Bank (Internal Candidates)

About the role

The Field Property Inspector reports to the Field Administration Officer and provides supervision to staff. The role is responsible for planning and executing comprehensive property inspections across all field installations in the West Bank.

Key responsibilities

• Plans and leads the annual inspection of assets across all field installations and prepares reports in line with the Property Management Manual.
• Analyzes property management processes for efficiency and cost‑effectiveness and recommends improvements.
• Reviews and processes survey requests for lost, stolen, damaged, surplus or obsolete property.
• Oversees investigations of damaged or missing items and ensures follow‑up actions and reporting.
• Maintains up‑to‑date custodial signatures, equipment lists and coordinates asset registration, bar‑coding and relocation in the ERP system.
• Coordinates with Finance for equipment reconciliation and prepares destruction certificates for authorized disposals.

Required profile

• University degree in business, public administration, procurement, accounting or a related field.
• Minimum four years of relevant experience in administration, auditing, procurement, warehousing or related areas.
• Working knowledge of UN rules, regulations and procedures, and of supply‑chain management.
• Professional certification such as CPA, CIA, CMA or CFE is desirable.
• Residence in the West Bank or Jerusalem with a valid ID.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP solutions for asset management.
• Advanced use of Microsoft Excel, Access, Word and PowerPoint.
• Experience with bar‑coding and electronic record keeping.
• Ability to work with internet‑based applications.

What we offer

• Fixed‑term appointment for one year with a possible extension, including a one‑year probation period.
• Monthly basic salary of USD 1,490.30 (paid in JD at the UN exchange rate).
• Jerusalem allowance of NIS 2,000 per month for eligible staff holding a Jerusalem ID.
