Technical Specialist Consultant

About the role

UNRWA is seeking a Technical Specialist Consultant to strengthen the capacity of community‑based organisations (CBOs/CBRCs) in delivering evidence‑based rehabilitation services for persons with disabilities in high‑risk areas of the West Bank.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical supervision, mentoring and capacity‑building to CBOs/CBRCs on disability inclusion.
• Design and deliver training sessions, toolkits, SOPs and guidance notes for mainstreaming disability rights.
• Facilitate workshops, focus groups and stakeholder consultations to identify gaps and needs.
• Support organisational change by advising leadership, HR and program teams on inclusion standards.
• Establish accountability mechanisms, monitoring frameworks and inclusion scorecards.
• Coordinate with organisations of persons with disabilities (OPDs) and other human‑rights bodies to ensure voices are heard.
• Monitor and evaluate rehabilitation interventions to track effectiveness and ensure alignment with UN Disability Inclusion Strategy.

Required profile

• Proven expertise in disability inclusion and rehabilitation service delivery.
• Experience working with NGOs, CBOs or CBRCs in humanitarian contexts.
• Strong knowledge of international disability rights frameworks and UN standards.
• Ability to work onsite in Nablus and collaborate with multi‑disciplinary teams.
