Compliance Engineering Advisor / Operator-in-Residence

About the role

This role is critical for translating vague AI governance language into concrete, actionable controls that enterprises can rely on. It bridges emerging AI‑agent risk with the established governance, audit, legal, and regulatory frameworks that organizations already use.

Key responsibilities

• Map Permission Protocol agent actions to recognizable control patterns and practical frameworks.
• Develop buyer‑facing language for auditability, signer‑of‑record, retention, and human approval.
• Define when human authorization is required and create role‑specific narratives for CCOs, CFOs, CISOs, legal leaders, and compliance operators.
• Gather feedback from regulated workflows to inform product and policy design.
• Collaborate directly with engineers to shape the authority layer and ensure evidence and accountability are built into the product.

Required profile

• Experience in compliance, audit, risk, legal operations, regulated workflows, security governance, or enterprise controls.
• Ability to translate abstract AI risk into practical approval and evidence requirements.
• Familiarity with organizational scrutiny processes such as audits, incident response, board inquiries, and regulator interactions.
• Strong communication skills with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Healthy skepticism toward governance theater.
