Human Resources Assistant – Daily Paid Contract (West Bank)

About the role

The United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) is seeking a Human Resources Assistant on a daily‑paid contract to support its Field Office in the West Bank. The role provides administrative backing to the HR Services and HR Career Management sections, ensuring accurate record‑keeping and smooth HR processes.

Key responsibilities

• Verify and update HR records, forms and tables, initiating corrective actions as needed.
• Draft routine correspondence, complete Personnel Action Forms and compile data for statistical and periodic reports.
• Support performance‑management activities, including assisting staff and supervisors with the electronic system, generating reports and preparing related letters.
• Process complementary personnel contracts, verify approvals, enter data into the HRM system and review payroll results.
• Manage incoming and outgoing mail, scan and file documents, maintain personnel files and respond to staff queries on HR matters.
• Enter payroll, entitlement and movement data into the HRM system.
• Provide backup to colleagues in other HR teams and perform any additional duties assigned by the supervisor.

Required profile

• Experience in administrative or clerical support within a human‑resources environment.
• Attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality of personnel information.
• Strong organizational skills and capacity to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to work collaboratively with HR staff and other departments.

Required skills

• Proficiency with HRM system data entry.
