IT Security Assistant Manager

About the role

The Assistant Manager – IT Security will protect IBEX Global’s infrastructure from emerging threats and support business objectives through proactive information security practices. This role combines strong network and cyber‑security expertise with leadership of security operations and incident response.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and support implementation of the IT Security Roadmap and enforce security baselines across all network and infrastructure components.
• Oversee enterprise security operations, including SIEM administration, threat detection, incident response, and vulnerability management.
• Lead incident response activities, ensuring timely investigation, escalation, containment, and remediation.
• Drive vulnerability assessment, prioritisation, and remediation tracking with IT teams.
• Manage security technologies such as NGFW, IDS/IPS, WAF, SIEM, email and endpoint security, IAM, PAM/PIM, and wireless security solutions.
• Ensure continuous compliance with PCI‑DSS, SOC 2, ISO 27001, and CIS Controls.
• Develop and tune SIEM use cases, conduct threat hunting using the MITRE ATT&CK framework, and improve detection capabilities.
• Provide guidance on cloud security controls for AWS, Azure, and GCP environments.

Required profile

• Strong background in network security, SOC operations, and compliance frameworks.
• Proven experience leading incident response and vulnerability management programs.
• Ability to communicate security posture and risks to executive stakeholders.
• Experience coordinating with vendors and evaluating new security technologies.
