Junior Translator / Interpreter (Non-Key Expert)

About the role

NTU International is seeking a Junior Translator / Interpreter to join its pool of Non‑Key Experts for a 36‑month EU‑funded project focused on communication outreach in the Middle East, North Africa and Gulf region. The role will support DG MENA by providing accurate, culturally appropriate translation and interpretation for a range of communication materials.

Key responsibilities

• Translate communication materials, reports, publications, presentations and other institutional documents.
• Provide interpretation services during meetings, workshops, conferences, webinars and stakeholder consultations.
• Ensure linguistic accuracy, consistency and cultural appropriateness of all translated content.
• Support the preparation and review of multilingual communication materials.
• Collaborate with communication teams to deliver clear messaging to target audiences.
• Assist with terminology management and maintain consistency across project documentation.
• Support multilingual communication during project events and outreach activities.

Required profile

• Degree in translation/interpretation or an equivalent qualification.
• Native or near‑native proficiency in the target language and fluent English.
• Minimum of 2 years general experience in translation/interpretation.
• At least 1 year of experience translating or interpreting communication or institutional content.
