National Security Officer – Field Office West Bank (Ramallah)

About the role

The United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) is seeking a National Security Officer for its Field Office in the West Bank, based in Ramallah. The incumbent will support the Senior Field Security Officer and supervise the Guard Force Services, ensuring a safe environment for staff and beneficiaries.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in developing and implementing Security Risk Management processes, security plans, contingency and evacuation plans.
• Support the creation and enforcement of security policies, guidelines and Standard Operating Procedures.
• Manage access‑control systems, conduct periodic security assessments, and oversee training and day‑to‑day support for the guard force.
• Prepare and deliver security briefings and training for personnel.
• Administer security‑related budgets and advise on acquisition and inventory of security equipment.
• Conduct regular Security Risk Management assessments of premises and ensure compliance.
• Monitor, collect, update and disseminate security information, reporting to headquarters as required.
• Respond to security incidents, assist affected personnel and ensure compliance with security standards.
