Network Engineer – Cisco Security Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Network Engineer with a strong focus on Cisco security to join our IT Infrastructure team. The role involves maintaining network operations, configuring firewalls, and ensuring the security and availability of our systems.

Key responsibilities

• Configure, install and manage Cisco routers, switches and firewalls.
• Enforce network security protocols, including VPNs, ACLs and NAT rules.
• Troubleshoot and resolve Tier‑2/3 network issues and support incident response.
• Perform routine maintenance, firmware upgrades and security patch management.
• Monitor network performance, track security alerts and conduct vulnerability audits.
• Maintain up‑to‑date network diagrams, configuration backups and security policies.

Required profile

• 2–3 years of hands‑on network engineering and security administration experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
• CCNA certification is mandatory; CCNP (Enterprise or Security) or equivalent firewall certifications are a plus.

Required skills

• Cisco routing and switching concepts (VLANs, OSPF, BGP).
• Cisco security platforms (ASA, Firepower, ISE).
• VPN configuration, ACL and NAT rule implementation.
• TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, RADIUS/TACACS+ authentication.
• Firmware upgrades, security patch management and device monitoring.
