About the role
The organization seeks a qualified Obstetrician‑Gynecologist to provide comprehensive women’s health care, covering pre‑pregnancy, antenatal, labor, delivery and postpartum periods. The role involves direct patient care, education, and coordination with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal outcomes for mothers and newborns.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct prenatal check‑ups, screenings, counseling and manage pregnancy‑related risk factors.
- Monitor labor progress, perform interventions such as forceps, vacuum extraction and cesarean sections when needed.
- Respond to obstetric emergencies including preeclampsia, placental abruption, umbilical cord prolapse, postpartum hemorrhage and shoulder dystocia.
- Provide neonatal resuscitation and stabilize newborns with complications.
- Collaborate with neonatologists, anesthesiologists, nurses and other specialists for comprehensive care.
- Educate patients on warning signs during pregnancy and promote timely medical attention.
- Maintain accurate medical records documenting prenatal care, delivery details and postpartum follow‑up.
Required profile
- Graduate of Obstetrics and Gynecology specialization with a valid medical license.
- 3–5 years of experience as an OBGYN in public or private health facilities.
- Ability to submit patient data as required and provide technical support to referring providers.
- Excellent organizational skills and capacity to handle multiple tasks in a high‑pressure environment.
- Flexibility to work effectively with diverse personalities and cultures.
Required skills
- Cesarean section surgery.
- Forceps and vacuum‑extraction delivery techniques.
- Management of obstetric emergencies (preeclampsia, placental abruption, umbilical cord prolapse, postpartum hemorrhage, shoulder dystocia).
- Neonatal resuscitation.
