Gaza Fleet Officer

About the role

The Gaza Fleet Officer will manage SCI's vehicle fleet (both rental and owned) in the Gaza field office. Reporting to the Gaza Supply Chain Coordinator, the role oversees drivers, supports the Supply Chain Manager, and ensures optimal use of fleet resources while complying with organisational policies.

Key responsibilities

• Provide functional and operational fleet management guidance to Gaza teams, aligning with SCI fleet policy, SOPs, and procedures.
• Maintain all fleet documentation, including supervision records, performance management, duty of care, safeguarding, security, and code of conduct compliance.
• Lead incident management for accidents, breakdowns, violations, and operational disruptions, ensuring proper documentation and coordination with stakeholders.
• Build capacity of drivers (employees and contracted) through supervision, performance management, and compliance with safety and safeguarding standards.
• Compile monthly analytical fleet reports, fuel and movement dashboards, and management updates to support decision‑making.
• Establish transparent fuel management systems for vehicles and generators, tracking issuance, consumption, and invoice accuracy.
• Monitor fuel usage, maintain accurate records, and implement internal controls and accountability mechanisms.
• Forecast fuel contingency levels and develop risk mitigation plans for emergencies and access constraints.

Required profile

• Proven experience in fleet or vehicle management, preferably in humanitarian or logistics settings.
• Ability to supervise drivers and build their capacity while ensuring adherence to safety, safeguarding, and code of conduct standards.
• Strong analytical skills for reporting and fuel consumption monitoring.
• Excellent problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities, with a focus on operational continuity.
