About the role
The GBV Case Worker will provide survivor‑centered case management to women and girls affected by gender‑based violence in Gaza. Working under the WPE Officer, you will ensure safe, confidential referrals and contribute to community‑based prevention efforts.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver individualized case management, including assessments, safety planning, and psychosocial support.
- Coordinate timely, confidential referrals to health, legal, protection, and livelihood services.
- Maintain and strengthen referral pathways with service providers, community leaders, and IRC sectors.
- Document case information accurately in the IRC information system and produce regular reports.
- Support community outreach, risk‑reduction activities, and awareness‑raising on GBV prevention.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, gender studies or related field (preferred).
- Minimum 2 years experience providing direct support to GBV survivors or in protection/case management.
- Strong knowledge of GBV principles, case management guidelines, and the Gaza context.
- Fluency in Arabic and working knowledge of English.
Required skills
- Familiarity with GBVIMS or similar case‑management and data‑protection systems.
- Proficiency in MS Office and data‑entry/reporting tools.
