Safety Officer

About the role

The Safety Officer will provide administrative assistance and technical support to ensure that DRC programmes and projects in Gaza City are implemented safely and effectively.

Key responsibilities

• Support communication and coordination with stakeholders on staff safety, collect and analyse safety information, and prepare Safety Incident Reports.
• Monitor staff movements, ensure compliance with movement SOPs, and disseminate safety alerts.
• Contribute to safety risk assessments, site assessments, and procurement of protective equipment.
• Assist the Safety Coordinator with training design, safety level system updates, and audits.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience in security operations and management.
• Full professional proficiency in English and Arabic.
• Proven ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain high integrity.

Required skills

• Advanced use of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Training in safety, fire, evacuation, and disaster management procedures.
