Distribution Worker (Causal) - Nutrition Supplies

About the role

Save the Children is recruiting three casual Distribution Workers for its Gaza Field Office, based in Deir al Balah (location subject to change depending on priorities). The role supports the distribution of nutrition supplies at designated nutrition sites, ensuring beneficiaries receive the required portions as part of nutrition programmes. It reports to the Nutrition Officer and runs until 15 January 2027.

Key responsibilities

• Receive nutrition supplies and related items from the warehouse according to daily allocations, and verify quantities and quality against delivery orders.
• Distribute nutrition supplies to beneficiaries according to approved portions and plans, keeping the process organised, fair and efficient.
• Manage crowds during distribution to maintain order, safety and a smooth flow of beneficiaries.
• Prepare daily distribution reports on quantities distributed and remaining stock, and document observations or issues.
• Monitor stock levels at the nutrition site and coordinate with the nutrition officer to replenish supplies.
• Follow hygiene and safety standards during handling, storage and distribution.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 6+ months of experience in a warehouse or distribution environment.
• Able to lift and move objects up to 50 lbs repeatedly, and to stand, walk, bend and stoop for long periods.
• Familiar with warehouse reporting and record-keeping.
• Strong attention to detail, teamwork and communication skills, reliability and punctuality.
