Gaza Supply Chain Coordinator

About the role

The Gaza Supply Chain Coordinator supports the Gaza Area Office of Save the Children in Deir Al Balah, supervising the setup or scaling-up of emergency response supply chain functions. The post reports to the Director of Program Operations until 31 December 2026, then transitions to the Gaza role, and oversees two Procurement Officers, one Warehouse Officer and one Fleet Assistant. It may involve remote supervision of multiple field bases during large-scale emergencies.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate procurement, warehouse and fleet operations, ensuring timely program support, value for money and compliance with Save the Children and donor requirements.
• Manage the three teams through the approved reporting structure, clarify responsibilities, delegate daily operations, set objectives, review performance and coach staff.
• Develop and regularly review integrated supply chain plans with program and budget holders, covering procurement needs, stock availability, warehouse capacity, transport and fuel.
• Use ProSave, TIM and fleet/fuel reports to identify bottlenecks, compliance gaps and risks, and follow up corrective actions.
• Contribute supply chain inputs to proposals, budgets and response planning, including sourcing lead times, warehouse capacity, transport availability, costs and contingency arrangements.
• Help establish a supplier onboarding process, including high-risk suppliers and safeguarding training, and oversee supplier due diligence and performance monitoring.
• Provide technical oversight of quotations, tenders and framework agreements, and lead complex or high-risk sourcing.
• Manage warehouse operations, ensure consistent use of TIM, and oversee stock counts, reconciliations, write-offs and disposal.
• Support lessons learned exercises, capacity building, compliance with procurement and safeguarding policies, and minimisation of fraud risk.
