External Audit Senior Associate - Ramallah

About the role

EY is looking for a Senior Auditor to join its Ramallah Audit team. The role supports clients by helping them meet their requirements through accurate reporting of financial statements and by providing meaningful insights into accounting and reporting matters.

Key responsibilities

• Take part in audit engagements as a team member, share responsibility, support colleagues, keep communication open and update senior team members on progress.
• Help prepare for meetings with management teams, take part in them, and assist in preparing reports and schedules delivered to clients and other parties.
• Build productive working relationships with client personnel.
• Establish internal and external relationships and identify and escalate potential business opportunities for EY.
• Contribute to people initiatives, including recruiting and retaining assurance professionals.
• Anticipate and identify risks, escalate issues appropriately, and ensure client deliverables are of high quality and reviewed by the next-level reviewer.

Required profile

• A strong academic record, including a degree or a professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, CPA or CA.
• At least four years of professional experience in external audit.
• Experience with a Big 4 accounting firm.
• Proactive, accountable and results-driven, able to handle competing priorities, manage resources and communicate effectively.
