Head of Logistics – Jerusalem (Humanitarian)

About the role

The Logistic Coordinator will steer the mission’s logistical activities for Solidarités International in Jerusalem, supporting programmes in Gaza and the West Bank. The role ensures smooth procurement, transport, warehousing and fleet management while aligning with mission strategy and security requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Shift the logistics department from reactive emergency support to a proactive, structured system while retaining surge capacity.
• Manage simultaneous timelines and supply chains for Gaza, the West Bank and Jerusalem, addressing access constraints and fragile markets.
• Improve joint planning and communication between Programs, Access/Liaison and Logistics from proposal design through delivery.
• Monitor tax, import and customs implications of shipments from Israel, Jerusalem and the West Bank.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Engineering, Business Administration or related field (preferred).
• 3‑4 years of experience in the humanitarian sector, including a similar logistics position.
• Demonstrated ability to work in Arab cultural contexts and with national staff.
• Strong organization, prioritisation and communication skills in a volatile environment.

Required skills

• Humanitarian supply chain management (procurement, international supply, transport, warehousing, fleet).
• Market assessments, framework agreements, supplier and pipeline planning.
• Advanced Excel and use of procurement planning tools.
• Knowledge of donor compliance, import/customs processes and tax‑exemption mechanisms.

What we offer

• Gross monthly salary starting at EUR 2 860 (2600 base + 10 % allowance) plus USD 750 per‑diem.
