Supply Chain Officer

About the role

The Supply Chain Officer is responsible for implementing compliant and accountable supply chain activities across an assigned area. This includes procurement, warehousing, transportation, fleet management and asset management to support programme operations.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure timely, cost‑effective procurement of goods and services in line with DRC and donor regulations, including preparation of RFQs, tender dossiers and contract administration.
• Maintain accurate procurement records, trackers and audit‑ready files, and register procured assets in the ERP system (Dynamics).
• Coordinate logistics and warehousing services, manage stock records, monitor inventory quality, and ensure proper handling, loading and dispatch of goods.
• Support vehicle fleet planning, monitor usage, fuel consumption, compliance, and produce monthly utilization reports.
• Oversee fixed‑asset registration, tagging, verification, movement, maintenance and disposal in accordance with DRC asset management procedures.
• Provide technical guidance, capacity strengthening and on‑the‑job support to base‑level operations, ensuring consistent application of DRC standards.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems, specifically Microsoft Dynamics.
• Experience using SharePoint/E‑Filing for document management.
• Knowledge of procurement processes, tender preparation and supplier due‑diligence.
• Understanding of logistics, warehousing and fleet management procedures.
