Senior PHP (CodeIgniter) Developer – Existing System Development

About the role

Developers Plus Company is looking for an experienced Senior PHP (CodeIgniter) Developer to expand and optimise an existing web application. You will maintain legacy code, add new features, and ensure the system remains stable, secure, and performant.

Key responsibilities

• Review, analyse, and maintain the current codebase while implementing new system features.
• Develop robust modules and RESTful APIs using CodeIgniter (CI3/CI4).
• Optimise MySQL/MariaDB queries for speed and scalability.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade software to mitigate security vulnerabilities.
• Refactor legacy code following clean‑code principles and design patterns.
• Collaborate with the team to deliver high‑quality solutions on schedule.

Required profile

• 4–5 years of hands‑on web development experience with PHP and CodeIgniter.
• Strong understanding of MVC architecture and object‑oriented programming.
• Proven ability to work independently under tight deadlines.
• Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs (JSON/XML).
