WASH Program Manager (CDD, Gaza)

About the role

Solidarités International (SI) has operated in Gaza since February 2024, focusing on access to safe drinking water, sanitation and hygiene promotion. The WASH program manager implements the objectives set out in the operation proposals, oversees the operational teams assigned to the program and ensures the quality and relevance of its activities. The mission is a 7-month fixed-term contract (3 rotations) based in Deir el-Balah, with a desired start date of 15 December 2026.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee operational teams and guarantee the quality of program activities, proposing adjustments where needed
• Manage partnerships and coordinate with national and international NGOs
• Lead programme-level coordination with the WASH Cluster
• Ensure project management tools are accurate and regularly updated, with attention to targets, activity tracking and budget versus actual expenditure
• Archive and organise Means of Verification and supporting documentation
• Finalise programme strategies and operational modalities for distributions, water trucking and blade installation
• Support the mission in reviewing ongoing activities and adapting them to field needs and monitoring findings

Required profile

• 5 years of experience in the humanitarian sector and 3-4 years in a similar position
• Fluent English, written and spoken; Arabic is an asset
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to a rapidly changing environment
• Experience in a protracted crisis context and with local organisations is an asset

Required skills

• Solid experience in WASH emergency and early recovery programming
• Technical expertise in shelter/construction and water and solid waste management networks are assets
• Good analytical skills and proactive, solution-oriented approach
• MS Office pack, with excellent Excel; GIS desirable
• Management, organisational and communication skills

What we offer

• Fixed-term position, starting from EUR 2,365 gross per month (base salary plus 10% annual leave allowance paid monthly) and a daily allowance of USD 750
