HR Generalist

About the role

The HR Generalist supports a customer contact center by delivering a full range of HR services to non‑exempt technical support and customer service staff. Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, the role acts as a business partner, ensuring compliance, confidentiality, and sound judgment in all employee‑related matters.

Key responsibilities

• Provide guidance to managers and employees on HR issues for a specific client group while supporting site‑wide employee relations.
• Partner with Recruiting, Training, and Operations teams to onboard new hires and conduct New Employee Orientation sessions.
• Administer HR programs across the employee lifecycle, including leave management, workplace safety, benefits, compensation, performance management, HRIS, and recordkeeping.
• Ensure legal compliance with federal and state regulations such as EEOC, FMLA, OSHA, FLSA, and workers’ compensation.
• Deliver HR‑related training and development for managers.
• Collaborate on initiatives that boost employee satisfaction, engagement, and retention.

Required profile

• College degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business, or a related field (preferred).
• At least two years of HR experience focused on employee relations and multi‑discipline administration.
• Experience in telecommunications, call‑center, retail, or hospitality environments is advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state HR regulations, compensation, benefits, performance management, and HR policy administration.
• Detail‑oriented, organized, adaptable, and able to maintain confidentiality.
