Logistics Coordinator

About the role

The Logistics Coordinator leads and oversees the country‑level logistics and supply‑chain function for International Medical Corps, ensuring that project supplies, equipment and services are planned, acquired, stored safely and delivered on time to support humanitarian operations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage country logistics and procurement activities, including emergency response where applicable.
• Provide technical oversight, direction and supervision to logistics and supply‑chain staff.
• Oversee procurement, warehousing, stock management, transport, fleet, assets and GIK reporting in line with policies and SOPs.
• Conduct initial and continuous logistics and supply‑chain assessments of infrastructure and access routes.
• Plan resources optimally based on assessments and coordinate with the security focal point on risk mitigation.
• Ensure compliance with security protocols and related policies.
• Participate in project planning, design and budgeting to align logistics resources with operational needs.
• Develop and implement logistics strategies aligned with country program strategy and preparedness plans.

• Maintain close contact with the Regional Logistics team for guidance, technical support and reporting.
• Accountable for the quality of monthly and quarterly logistics reporting and data analysis.
