School Principal – Fixed Term (12 positions)

About the role

The United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) is seeking qualified internal candidates for the position of School Principal on a fixed‑term basis at its Area Office in Nablus. Twelve vacancies are available to lead schools that provide inclusive education to Palestine refugees.

Key responsibilities

• Lead professional development for school staff, assess training needs, facilitate peer support and external training, and manage staff performance.
• Ensure delivery of quality inclusive education services in line with UNRWA policies.
• Develop and maintain communication mechanisms to engage parents and the wider community.
• Oversee school administration including pupil registration, record‑keeping, EMIS data entry, budgeting, financial management and resource utilization.
• Maintain a safe, secure and effective learning environment.
• Implement monitoring, evaluation and assessment practices to maximize student potential.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Required profile

• Reports to the Area Education Officer.
• Directly supervises professional and general services staff.
