Sports Nutrition Fellow – First Team

About the role

The Sports Nutrition Fellow will support the First Team’s performance nutrition program, working directly with the Sports Performance Dietitian. This stipend‑based fellowship offers hands‑on experience in a professional soccer environment, focusing on player health, performance, recovery, and availability.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with team meals, communicating player dietary restrictions to culinary staff and supporting menu planning.
• Coordinate matchday and travel nutrition logistics, including pre‑match fueling, halftime snacks, and post‑match recovery meals.
• Support hydration assessments and body composition monitoring (weight tracking, DEXA scan logistics, skinfold measurements).
• Help maintain supplement inventory and fueling stations.
• Develop and deliver nutrition education materials and player‑facing resources under dietitian guidance.
• Collect, organize, and report nutrition‑related data while maintaining confidentiality.

Required profile

• Emerging sports dietitian or RD‑eligible candidate seeking mentorship.
• Motivated, detail‑oriented, and able to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary staff.
• Interest in elite soccer performance nutrition and player health.

Required skills

• Nutrition assessment and meal planning.
