Grants Coordinator

About the role

The Grants Coordinator supports the Grants Manager in delivering high‑quality humanitarian programmes by ensuring effective grant management, donor compliance and timely proposal development. This position acts as the focal point for mandatory activities within NRC’s Project Cycle Management (PCM) and provides guidance to programme and support teams.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain an overview of all grants, donor requirements, regulations and deadlines, and file related documents.
• Coordinate the development of concept notes, proposals and reports in collaboration with programme and support teams.
• Provide an internal help‑desk on donor‑related issues, delivering trainings on donor rules, regulations and proposal/report writing.
• Facilitate PCM activities such as Proposal Planning, Grant Opening, Review and Closure meetings, ensuring integration of cross‑cutting elements and MEAL structures.
• Support budget‑holders to ensure donor compliance and quality control across the project portfolio.
• Assist with external donor audits and support the Grants Manager with any delegated tasks.
• Promote safeguarding and anti‑corruption standards with staff, partners and project participants.

Required profile

• Proven experience in grant management, donor compliance and proposal development, preferably in the humanitarian sector.
• Strong knowledge of NRC policies, PCM framework and donor regulations.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders.
• Ability to deliver trainings and provide technical support on grant‑related matters.
