Head Storekeeper – Fixed Term – Procurement & Logistics

About the role

The Head Storekeeper supervises receipt and custody of goods, maintains accurate stock records, and ensures efficient warehouse operations within UNRWA's Procurement & Logistics Department in Hebron.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise receipt, custody and accurate recording of all goods, commodities and equipment in the assigned warehouse.
• Maintain up‑to‑date stock control records and ensure prompt entry of transactions in the ERP system, including receipts, issues, transfers and deliveries.
• Issue commodities as directed by the Warehousing Officer and conduct regular spot checks to verify ERP stock data.
• Oversee and ensure safety, security and access control for permanent, temporary and contractor warehouse staff.
• Manage warehouse facilities, monitor repairs, upgrades and keep the environment clean and hygienic.
• Coordinate timely loading and off‑loading of trucks to various locations.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Required profile

• Secondary education completed with a diploma in business/office practice or a related discipline.
• At least five years of experience in storekeeping or logistics functions.
• Fluency in English (UN Level II) and Arabic (UN Level III) as required by the UN Language Framework.

Required skills

• Proficient use of an ERP system for stock management.
• Strong stock control and warehouse management capabilities.

What we offer

• Fixed‑term contract for one year with a possible extension.
• Monthly basic salary of USD 1,050.20 (paid in JD at the UN exchange rate).
• Provident Fund contribution (15.4 % of basic salary), compulsory medical insurance and dependency allowance.
• 30 days of annual leave, 2 days of sick leave per month of service, 14 weeks maternity leave and 2 weeks paternity leave.
