Associate HR Officer (Recruitment) – Fixed Term – Internal Candidates – West Bank

About the role

The Associate HR Officer (Recruitment) supports UNRWA’s recruitment activities in the Field Office West Bank on a fixed‑term basis. This position is open to internal candidates only and reports to the HR Officer (Recruitment), A15.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in the recruitment process for area staff and other personnel, including serving on interview boards as ex‑officio.
• Screen applications against established criteria, raise discrepancies with the concerned department and advise supervisors.
• Prepare and review vacancy advertisements, ensure compliance with post descriptions, and coordinate technical tests and interviews.
• Inform invited candidates of test or interview schedules in a timely manner.
• Assist in coordinating recruitment plans with hiring managers, aligning timelines with the overall recruitment schedule.
• Prepare and update recruitment reports, maintain rosters, and produce statistical analyses as required.
• Respond to applicant queries, arrange interview board appointments, and perform other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Required profile

• A university degree from an accredited institution in Human Resources Management, public administration or business administration.
• Experience in recruitment processes, including screening, advertising, and coordinating interviews.
• Strong analytical and organizational abilities, with the capacity to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
