Mobile Security Officer

About the role

The Mobile Security Officer supports the Chief Area Office in implementing security risk management processes and ensures the safety of UNRWA premises, staff and assets in the Nablus area.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in developing and implementing security plans, contingency and evacuation procedures.
• Manage access‑control systems, conduct security assessments and supervise guard forces.
• Provide security briefings, training and day‑to‑day operational support for the guard force.
• Coordinate with local police, fire and medical authorities and monitor the security situation.
• Respond to incidents, complete incident reports and advise senior staff on security matters.

Required profile

• University degree in security, risk management, political/social science, criminal justice, international relations, business management or related field.
• At least two years of relevant experience in emergency or security settings, preferably with UN or humanitarian experience.
• Valid driving licence and residence in the West Bank or Jerusalem with appropriate ID.

Required skills

• Security access‑control procedures and equipment management.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
• Report writing and documentation skills.

What we offer

• Fixed‑term contract for 1 year (grade 12) with a monthly basic salary of USD 1,259.40.
• Provident fund contribution, compulsory medical insurance, 30 days annual leave and dependency allowance.
• Sick leave, 14 weeks maternity leave and 2 weeks paternity leave.
