Procurement Officer – Procurement and Logistics (Limited Duration)

About the role

The Procurement Officer will support UNRWA's Field Office in the West Bank by planning and executing procurement actions for a range of goods, services and works. The role involves close collaboration with programme divisions, supervision of a medium‑sized team and contribution to emergency response preparedness.

Key responsibilities

• Plan procurement actions, contribute to the annual procurement plan and ensure compliance with UNRWA procurement policies.
• Conduct market research, develop vendor evaluation criteria and manage solicitations, bid evaluations and contract awards.
• Prepare and review procurement documents, authorize purchases within delegated limits and submit higher‑value contracts for committee approval.
• Monitor delivery, contract performance and vendor issues, ensuring timely closure and proper filing of contracts.
• Produce procurement reports, dashboards and KPI monitoring, and support capacity building for subordinate staff.

Required profile

• University degree in business administration, procurement, supply chain, contract law, engineering or related field.
• At least four years of responsible experience in procurement, contract or supply‑chain management.
• Residency in the West Bank or Jerusalem with a valid local ID.
• Fluency in English (UN Level II) and Arabic (UN Level III).

What we offer

• Limited Duration Contract until 31/08/2027 with possible extension.
• Monthly basic salary of JOD 1,213.30.
