Production Washroom Operator

About the role

The Production Washroom Operator works on a team in an industrial laundry facility, handling merchandise safely and efficiently as it moves through the wash and dry cycles. The role ensures equipment is operated correctly, batch tickets are processed accurately, and the work environment remains clean and secure.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect all machine safety devices before each use and complete the required safety forms.
• Load and unload washers and dryers using slings, following batch tickets to avoid mixing lots.
• Set machine formulas, start cycles, and monitor moisture levels, re‑drying items when necessary.
• Enter batch weights into the SOFTROL system and record ticket information on machine displays.
• Verify proper temperature, moisture retention, and that carts/tubs are not overloaded.
• Identify and remove damaged slings from the process.
• Maintain a safe, clean work area and follow best production practices.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.

Required profile

• Ability to understand and follow written and verbal training instructions.
• Basic math skills for weight recording and ticket verification.
• Good verbal and written communication abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the SOFTROL laundry management software.
• Experience operating industrial washers and dryers.
