Team Lead – Humanitarian Health Programme in Gaza

About the role

UK-Med is seeking an experienced leader to head its humanitarian health programme in Gaza. You will oversee the delivery of critical health services in one of the world’s most complex emergencies, ensuring high‑quality care and effective coordination with partners.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and day‑to‑day management of the health programme in Gaza.
• Coordinate with local authorities, NGOs, and UN agencies to align activities and resources.
• Monitor programme performance, budgets, and reporting to donors.
• Ensure compliance with UK‑Med policies, health standards, and safety protocols.
• Facilitate regional travel to Amman, Jordan for coordination meetings and training.
• Lead, mentor and supervise a multidisciplinary field team.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading health programmes in humanitarian or emergency settings.
• Ability to travel quickly through Jordan and obtain visas on arrival.
• Strong leadership, decision‑making and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.
