Performance Data Scientist – First Team

About the role

The Human Performance department is looking for a First‑Team Performance Data Scientist to connect the first‑team sport‑science front end with the club’s central data analytics platform. You will ensure rigorous data hygiene, HIPAA compliance, and deliver actionable insights that drive training, injury prevention, and performance decisions across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all first‑team performance data‑science workflows, integrating and maintaining pipelines within the club’s central data infrastructure.
• Collect, clean, and quality‑control sport‑science, medical, nutrition, mental‑performance, and auxiliary data sources.
• Develop analytical models to evaluate training periodization, forecast micro‑cycle impacts, and support workload, return‑to‑play, and performance benchmarking.
• Create dashboards and reports for daily, weekly, monthly, and seasonal use by performance, technical, and recruiting staff.
• Build tools that improve workflow precision and enable staff to make data‑driven decisions.
• Lead sport‑science interns to enhance data‑science efficiency and departmental growth.

Required profile

• Demonstrated expertise in multiple programming and data‑analysis languages.
• Strong understanding of sport‑science, medical, and performance data domains.
