Grants Coordinator

About the role

The Grants Coordinator works within the Grants Unit to support the Grants Manager in delivering high‑quality humanitarian programmes. The role ensures compliance with internal and donor requirements, assists in proposal development, and manages reporting throughout the project cycle.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain an overview of all grants, donor regulations, deadlines and related documentation.
• Support the development and submission of concept notes, proposals and reports in collaboration with programme and support teams.
• Provide an internal helpdesk on donor‑related issues, including training on donor rules, proposal writing and reporting.
• Facilitate key Project Cycle Management (PCM) activities such as proposal planning, grant opening, review and closure meetings.
• Assist budget‑holders to ensure donor compliance and quality control across the project portfolio.
• Support external donor audits and contribute to safeguarding and anti‑corruption initiatives.
• Coordinate grant revisions and act as the focal point for mandatory PCM activities.

Required profile

• Proven experience in grant management or related humanitarian financing.
• Strong knowledge of donor compliance regulations and reporting standards.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to coordinate across multiple teams and locations.
• Attention to detail and strong organisational abilities.
• Familiarity with the NRC Project Cycle Management framework is an advantage.
