Logistics Technical Assistant

About the role

The Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) is seeking a Logistics Technical Assistant to support day‑to‑day logistics operations in its Palestine Country Office. The role provides essential administrative and asset‑management support to ensure smooth procurement, delivery, and tracking of goods and equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and regularly update the asset register, producing reports for management.
• Assist the Procurement Coordinator with tracking purchases, drafting RFQs for small procurements, submitting payments and archiving logistics documents.
• Coordinate receipt of newly purchased items, apply asset tags, and manage delivery or dispatch to end‑users.
• Prepare and file Goods Received Notes (GRNs) and Waybills according to NRC filing standards.
• Support asset repair and maintenance in collaboration with ICT and procurement teams.
• Compile monthly asset reports and act as focal point for physical asset checks and loss‑damage reporting.
• Ensure compliance with NRC policies, donor requirements and safe, inclusive programming standards.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a humanitarian or recovery logistics function, preferably in complex or volatile contexts.
• Fluency in written and spoken Arabic; knowledge of Hebrew is an advantage.
• Bachelor’s degree and a valid driver’s licence.
• Ability to work under pressure and adhere to organisational policies.
