Inclusive Education and Training Specialist

About the role

The Inclusive Education and Training Specialist will work within UNRWA's Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) unit to promote the inclusion of trainees with disabilities across the Ramallah Women Training Centre and other vocational training centres.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of inclusion needs and barriers in TVET centres.
• Review TVET policies and practices, recommending changes to remove obstacles for students with disabilities.
• Support mainstreaming of disability considerations, identifying barriers and proposing solutions.
• Provide individualized guidance to students with disabilities throughout their training journey.
• Identify and implement ICT and assistive‑technology solutions to improve accessibility.
• Train teaching staff on inclusive practices, curriculum adaptation, and reasonable accommodations.
• Design and run awareness campaigns to increase enrollment of persons with disabilities in TVET programmes.
• Assist VTC staff in ensuring inclusive services, including extracurricular activities.
• Offer disability‑specific support for application, enrollment, and completion of vocational training.

Required profile

• Experience in inclusive education or vocational training environments.
• Knowledge of disability inclusion principles and reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to work collaboratively with staff and trainees.
