Senior Accountant – End‑to‑End Finance Operations

About the role

We are looking for a senior accountant to join a high‑performing finance team. You will own the month‑end close, reporting and reconciliation processes while staying hands‑on with transactional accounting such as AR, AP and payroll.

Key responsibilities

• Own the end‑of‑month close calendar and coordinate with Group Finance.
• Prepare and post journals (accruals, pre‑payments, depreciation) and produce balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Perform daily bank reconciliations and reconcile data between CRM and ERP systems.
• Investigate variances, prepare monthly management accounts with variance analysis and commentary.
• Maintain the fixed‑asset register and drive continuous improvement of close processes and documentation.
• Support year‑end audit and Group reporting requirements.
• Manage the debtor ledger, aged receivables, collections and dispute resolution.
• Run the full AP cycle – purchase orders, supplier invoices, payment runs and vendor master data.
• Prepare and review weekly payroll, ensuring compliance with superannuation, PAYG and leave accruals, and liaise with HR on employee changes.

Required profile

• 5‑7 years of experience in a similar accounting role.
• At least 3 years of post‑qualification experience (CA/CPA).
• Strong analytical mindset, high attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and proven ability to manage multiple priorities.

Required skills

• NetSuite (desirable).
• Advanced Excel.
